Privacy Policy

Rowline Lawn and Home is a registered BC business in Kelowna, British Columbia. We follow BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you ask for a quote, we collect your name, phone number, address or neighbourhood, the service you want, and the date and time you sent the form. If you email or text us, we keep those messages too.

If you book a job, we also keep a record of the work done, the price, and how and when you paid. We do not store your full credit card number. Card payments are handled by our payment provider.

Why we collect it

  • To give you a quote.
  • To contact you by phone, text or email about your quote and your job.
  • To schedule and do the work.
  • To keep basic business and tax records.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for anything else without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We only share what is needed to run the business:

  • Supabase stores quote requests securely.
  • Resend sends the email that tells us a quote request came in.
  • Netlify hosts our website.

These companies may store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Their local laws may apply to it.

How long we keep it

If you ask for a quote and do not book, we keep your request for 12 months, then delete it. If you become a customer, we keep your job and payment records for 6 years because Canadian tax rules require it, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at rowlinelawn@gmail.com. We will do it unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.

How we protect it

Your information is kept in password protected systems. Only Rowline can see it.

Terms of Service

These terms apply when you book residential yard work with Rowline Lawn and Home.

Quotes

Our quotes are good for 14 days unless the quote says a different date. After that, the price may change. A quote is based on the job as described to us. If the job turns out to be bigger or different when we arrive, we will tell you before doing any extra work and agree on the new price first.

Scheduling

Your scheduled day is a target. All jobs are plus or minus 1 day because of weather or scheduling complications. If your visit moves to a different day, we will always let you know ahead of time.

Weather delays

Rain, snow, smoke or extreme heat can make work unsafe or bad for your yard. If that happens, we will reschedule to the next good day. There is no charge for weather delays.

Access to your property

Please make sure we can get to the work area on the scheduled day. Unlock gates, keep pets inside and move cars if needed. If we cannot get in, we may charge a trip fee of $40.

Hazards

Please tell us about or mark anything we could damage or that could hurt someone. This includes sprinkler lines and heads, buried cables, invisible dog fences, septic lids, and anything fragile. We are not responsible for damage to items that were not marked or disclosed.

Payment

Payment is due after the job is finished, unless your quote says otherwise. For larger jobs, we may ask for a deposit before we start to cover materials. We accept Interac e Transfer, credit card and cash. If a payment is more than 14 days late, we may charge a flat late fee of $30. If a payment is returned or fails, we may charge $25 to cover our costs. If an account stays unpaid, we may pause future visits until it is paid.

Limitation of liability

We take care on every job. If something goes wrong, our total responsibility is limited to the price you paid for that job. This does not limit any rights you have under BC consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancelling

Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. Call, text or email. If you cancel with less notice, or we arrive and cannot do the job, we may charge a trip fee of $40. If we had already ordered materials for your job, we may charge for those instead. If we cancel because of weather, you are never charged.

Rescheduling

You can reschedule for free with at least 24 hours notice. We will find the next open day that works for you.

If you are unhappy with the work

Tell us within 3 days of the job. Send a photo if you can. We will come back and make it right for free. We fix first. If we cannot fix it, we will work out a fair partial or full refund with you. Refunds go back the same way you paid, within 10 days.
